Chant keeps your practice on your phone. There are no accounts, no ads, and we never sell data.

Who we are

Chant is made by SimplySea Labs (“we”), a sole proprietorship in India. You can reach us at [email protected].

What stays on your device

Your practice history, days of devotion, reading position, alarms, mantras you write, and settings are stored only on your device. We never receive them. If you use your phone’s own backup (iCloud or Google), that data is included in your backup, under Apple’s or Google’s privacy terms.

Purchases

Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play); we never see your payment details. To confirm your subscription, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app identifier, your purchase receipts, and basic device information (such as the operating system and store country). It does not receive your name or email address. RevenueCat processes this only to provide this service to us, under its own privacy policy, which protects your data at least as well as this one.

Analytics and advertising

Chant doesn’t collect usage analytics, doesn’t track you across apps or websites, and shows no ads. If we ever add anonymous analytics to improve the app, we’ll update this policy first, and they will never include your name, email, or anything you write.

Alarms and notifications

Alarms and reminders are scheduled on your device. We don’t send push notifications from a server.

Children

Chant is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Keeping and deleting your data

Because your data lives on your device, deleting the app deletes it, and we hold no copy to delete. Purchase records are kept by Apple or Google, and by RevenueCat for as long as needed for billing and tax; to ask for RevenueCat’s records to be deleted, write to us at [email protected]. You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your App Store or Google Play settings.
